Big Move by Govt , Import of 11 cheap pipes banned, BIS rule issued | Indian Pipes Boom?
The government of India has pulled up its belt for putting ban on cheap import of 11 types of pipes till September 30, 2021. This will surely be welcomed with full passion by the Indian Pipes Company. This can be a masterstroke to boost the business of Indian pipe manufacturing companies.
Well, the news doesnt stop here, the government has also issued a notification for BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) rules on the import of these 11 types of pipes,so that the quality of the pipes can be improved and the efficiency wont be compromised.
The section of the pipes are PVC, UPVC, CPVC pipes which are among the 11 categories which are banned under the cheap import category. Other pipes which is a flowing setup for agricultural works such as injection-molded PVC pipes, socket fitting pipes, and the UPVC pipes cheap category are also made to the ban list.
This decision by the government will have direct impact on the home grown pipe manufacturing companies such as Finolex Industries, Supreme Industries, Apollo pipes and Astral Pipes as their business will not only get the boost but also they will get a time to snatch out deals to improve their exports.
